Knight Frank secures UK retailer Jack Wills for Dublin property

Date : 19 October 2009

Knight Frank Dublin have completed a deal with UK fashion retailer Jack Wills to occupy the former Berry Bros. & Rudd property located just off Grafton Street in Dublin city centre.

The arrival of Jack Wills provides the area with another major fashion retailer and signifies a vote of confidence in the Dublin retail market. There has been renewed interest from many international retailers in the Dublin market who have been previously put off by the high rents. American Apparel have also recently opened their first Irish store on Grafton Street. Jack Wills will be paying a rent of €235,000 per annum, the same rent level paid by Berry Bros. since 2004. The lease is for a term of 20 years and the tenant has a break at year 10. The building has a floor area of 283 sq.m (3,046sq.ft) over three levels.

Keiron Diamond, Head of Retail Ireland, said that “the arrival by Jack Wills is considered a major boost to the Grafton Street area. With the reduction in retail rents on Grafton Street many international retailers are now taking advantage of the attractive deals and increased options”.
